| 内容記述 | Making a speaking syllabus is not simply about choosing a textbook and teaching it. Because of the individual differences of each class and student it is necessary to start from an analysis of students' needs and possible workplace constraints and advantages. Next the syllabus must be grounded in second language theory to manipulate and reinforce the conditions for optimal learning. Only when these important elements have been addressed can the actual class-by-class syllabus be produced. In this paper an example of the creation of a full academic year speaking syllabus is presented. The syllabus was designed for students at Chiba University of Commerce. It starts from student analysis and finishes at a final breakdown of the twenty-eight classes, making up one academic year. This paper may act as a basic model for creation of similar syllabuses, highlighting important theories that may be included in the production of such a syllabus and how each stage of syllabus production leads onto the next. | |||||||
