| 内容記述 | 小説ジェーン・エアを執筆したシャーロット・ブロンテは多くの批評家によって話の筋及び登場人物の特徴を作り出したことに対し天才であると評された。Wide Sargasso Seaを執筆したジーン・リースも同じ理由で天才であると評された。しかしながら、この論文ではブロンテの作品が独自の傑作であるのに対してリースの作品が主としてジェーン・エアの模倣であることを示す。リースの作品を傑作と評するには二つの作品にはいくつかの同じ登場人物や出来事を含めあまりに多くの類似点がある。 | |||||||
